Then came together unto Him the Pharisees and certain of the scribes, who came from Jerusalem.
And there are gathered together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, who had come from Jerusalem,

Some Pharisees and several teachers of the Law of Moses from Jerusalem came and gathered around Jesus.
And the Pharisees and some of the scribes, coming from Jerusalem, are gathered together to him,
And the Pharisees and some of the scribes are gathered-together with Him, having come from Jerusalem.
And there assembled together unto him the Pharisees and some of the scribes, coming from Jerusalem.
Some Pharisees and some teachers of the law came from Jerusalem and gathered around Jesus.
A group of Pharisees and some teachers of God's Law came from Jerusalem to talk with Jesus.

Now when the Pharisees gathered to him, with some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem,

Then gathered unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the Scribes which came from Jerusalem.
The Pharisees and some experts in Moses’ Teachings who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus.
Some Pharisees and teachers of the Law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus.
The Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Him.
Some Pharisees and some teachers of the law came from Jerusalem. They gathered around Jesus.

And now Jesus was approached by the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem. They had noticed that his disciples ate their meals with “common” hands—meaning that they had not gone through a ceremonial washing. (The Pharisees, and indeed all the Jews, will never eat unless they have washed their hands in a particular way, following a traditional rule. And they will not eat anything bought in the market until they have first performed their “sprinkling”. And there are many other things which they consider important, concerned with the washing of cups, jugs and basins.) So the Pharisees and the scribes put this question to Jesus, “Why do your disciples refuse to follow the ancient tradition, and eat their bread with ‘common’ hands?”
¶ Then came together unto him the Pharisees and some of the scribes, who had come from Jerusalem,

And the Pharisees and some of the scribes *gathered around Him when they had come from Jerusalem,

One day some Jewish religious leaders arrived from Jerusalem to investigate him,
The Pharisees, along with some religion scholars who had come from Jerusalem, gathered around him. They noticed that some of his disciples weren’t being careful with ritual washings before meals. The Pharisees—Jews in general, in fact—would never eat a meal without going through the motions of a ritual hand-washing, with an especially vigorous scrubbing if they had just come from the market (to say nothing of the scourings they’d give jugs and pots and pans).
The Pharisees and certain scribes who came from Jerusalem gathered around Him.

Now the Pharisees and some of the experts in the law who came from Jerusalem gathered around him.
The Pharisees gathered around Jesus. So did some of the teachers of the law. All of them had come from Jerusalem.

Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came together to Him, having come from Jerusalem.
The proud religious law-keepers and some of the teachers of the Law had come from Jerusalem. They gathered around Jesus.
One day some Pharisees and teachers of religious law arrived from Jerusalem to see Jesus.
And the Pharisees came together to him, and some of the scribes who came from Jerusalem.
Now when the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around him,
Now when the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around him,

The Pharisees gathered round Jesus, together with some legal experts from Jerusalem.
And, when they had come down from Yerushalayim, the Perushim and some of the Sofrim come together around Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach,
Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came to Him from Jerusalem.
Now when the Pharisees gathered together to him, with some of the scribes, who had come from Jerusalem,

Now the Pharisees and some of the Torah scholars who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Yeshua.
Then the Pharisees returned to talk with Jesus, and with them came some of the scribes and scholars from Jerusalem.
Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes gathered together to him, having come from Jerusalem.
Then some Pharisees and scribes from Jerusalem came to Jesus.
And the Pharisees and some of the scribes came from Jerusalem together to him. [And the Pharisees and some of the scribes coming from Jerusalem, came together to him.]
And gathered together unto him are the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, having come from Jerusalem,
