John 19:18-23

New American Standard Bible

¹⁸ There they crucified Him, and with Him ^(A)two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between. ¹⁹ Now Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written: “^(B)JESUS THE NAZARENE, ^(C)THE KING OF THE JEWS.” ²⁰ Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written ^(D)in ^[a]Hebrew, Latin, and in Greek. ²¹ So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘^(E)The King of the Jews’; rather, write that He said, ‘I am ^(F)King of the Jews.’” ²² Pilate answered, “^(G)What I have written, I have written.”

²³ Then ^(H)the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made ^(I)four parts: a part to each soldier, and the ^[b]tunic also; but the tunic was seamless, woven ^[c]in one piece.
