Matthew 27:54-57

^54 (A)Now as for the centurion and those who were with him ^(B)keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw ^(C)the earthquake and the other things that were happening, they became extremely frightened and said, “Truly this was ^[a](D)the Son of God!”

^55 (E)And many women were there watching from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee while ^(F)caring for Him. ⁵⁶ Among them were ^(G)Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and ^(H)the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Jesus Is Buried

^57 (I)Now when it was evening, a rich man from Arimathea came, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.
