²⁷ He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, ^(A)first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this ^(B)once for all when he offered up himself.

¹² he ^(A)entered ^(B)once for all into the holy places, not by means of ^(C)the blood of goats and calves but ^(D)by means of his own blood, ^(E)thus securing an eternal redemption.

²⁵ Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as ^(A)the high priest enters ^(B)the holy places every year with blood not his own, ²⁶ for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, ^(C)he has appeared ^(D)once for all ^(E)at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. ²⁷ And just as ^(F)it is appointed for man to die once, and ^(G)after that comes judgment, ²⁸ so Christ, having been offered once ^(H)to bear the sins of ^(I)many, will appear ^(J)a second time, ^(K)not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly ^(L)waiting for him.

¹⁰ And by that will ^(A)we have been sanctified through the offering of ^(B)the body of Jesus Christ ^(C)once for all.

¹² But when Christ^[a] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he ^(A)sat down at the right hand of God, ¹³ waiting from that time ^(B)until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. ¹⁴ For by a single offering ^(C)he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

^19 (A)And he took bread, and ^(B)when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ^(C)“This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” ²⁰ And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, ^(D)“This cup that is poured out for you is ^(E)the new ^(F)covenant in my blood.^[a]
