22 That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” 23 But (A)the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, 24 but for ours also. It will be counted to us (B)who believe in (C)him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 (D)who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised (E)for our justification.

Peace with God Through Faith

(F)Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, (G)we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also (H)obtained access by faith[b] into this grace (I)in which we stand, and (J)we[c] rejoice[d] in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we (K)rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering (L)produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and (M)hope does not put us to shame, because God's love (N)has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”(A) 23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us,(B) to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him(C) who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.(D) 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins(E) and was raised to life for our justification.(F)

Peace and Hope

Therefore, since we have been justified(G) through faith,(H) we[a] have peace(I) with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,(J) through whom we have gained access(K) by faith into this grace in which we now stand.(L) And we[b] boast in the hope(M) of the glory of God. Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings,(N) because we know that suffering produces perseverance;(O) perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope(P) does not put us to shame, because God’s love(Q) has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,(R) who has been given to us.

22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
