Romans 11:2-6
English Standard Version
2 (A)God has not rejected his people whom he (B)foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? 3 (C)“Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” 4 But what is God's reply to him? (D)“I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 So too at the present time there is (E)a remnant, chosen by grace. 6 (F)But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

New International Version
2 God did not reject his people,(A) whom he foreknew.(B) Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”[a]?(C) 4 And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”[b](D) 5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant(E) chosen by grace.(F) 6 And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works;(G) if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
