¹⁶^(A) Yet not everyone has believed the message. For example, the prophet Isaiah asked, “Lord, has anyone believed what we said?”

New International Version

¹⁶But not all the Israelites accepted the good news.^(A) For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”^[a]^(B)

³⁸^(A) This happened so that what the prophet Isaiah had said would come true,

“Lord, who has believed
our message?
And who has seen
your mighty strength?”

³⁸This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:

“Lord, who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”^[a]^(A)
