5 Flashes of lightning, noises, and peals of thunder came from the throne. Burning in front of the throne were seven flaming torches, which are the seven spirits of God.
6 In front of the throne was something like a sea of glass as clear as crystal. In the center of the throne and on each side of the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature was like an ox, the third living creature had a face like a human, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.(A) In front of the throne, seven lamps(B) were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a](C) of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(D) clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(E) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(F) 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(G)
