12 But thou, O Lord, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.

15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

16 When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.

17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.

19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;

20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;

21 To declare the name of the Lord in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;

22 When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

23 He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.

24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.

25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

28 The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

12 But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever;(A)
    your renown endures(B) through all generations.(C)
13 You will arise(D) and have compassion(E) on Zion,
    for it is time(F) to show favor(G) to her;
    the appointed time(H) has come.
14 For her stones are dear to your servants;
    her very dust moves them to pity.
15 The nations will fear(I) the name of the Lord,
    all the kings(J) of the earth will revere your glory.
16 For the Lord will rebuild Zion(K)
    and appear in his glory.(L)
17 He will respond to the prayer(M) of the destitute;
    he will not despise their plea.

18 Let this be written(N) for a future generation,
    that a people not yet created(O) may praise the Lord:
19 “The Lord looked down(P) from his sanctuary on high,
    from heaven he viewed the earth,
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners(Q)
    and release those condemned to death.”
21 So the name of the Lord will be declared(R) in Zion
    and his praise(S) in Jerusalem
22 when the peoples and the kingdoms
    assemble to worship(T) the Lord.

23 In the course of my life[a] he broke my strength;
    he cut short my days.(U)
24 So I said:
“Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days;
    your years go on(V) through all generations.
25 In the beginning(W) you laid the foundations of the earth,
    and the heavens(X) are the work of your hands.(Y)
26 They will perish,(Z) but you remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
    and they will be discarded.
27 But you remain the same,(AA)
    and your years will never end.(AB)
28 The children of your servants(AC) will live in your presence;
    their descendants(AD) will be established before you.”

12 But You, O Lord, shall endure forever,
And the remembrance of Your name to all generations.
13 You will arise and have mercy on Zion;
For the time to favor her,
Yes, the set time, has come.
14 For Your servants take pleasure in her stones,
And show favor to her dust.
15 So the [a]nations shall (A)fear the name of the Lord,
And all the kings of the earth Your glory.
16 For the Lord shall build up Zion;
(B)He shall appear in His glory.
17 (C)He shall regard the prayer of the destitute,
And shall not despise their prayer.

18 This will be (D)written for the generation to come,
That (E)a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.
19 For He (F)looked down from the height of His sanctuary;
From heaven the Lord viewed the earth,
20 (G)To hear the groaning of the prisoner,
To release those appointed to death,
21 To (H)declare the name of the Lord in Zion,
And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 (I)When the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

23 He weakened my strength in the way;
He (J)shortened my days.
24 (K)I said, “O my God,
Do not take me away in the midst of my days;
(L)Your years are throughout all generations.
25 (M)Of old You laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 (N)They will perish, but You will [b]endure;
Yes, they will all grow old like a garment;
Like a cloak You will change them,
And they will be changed.
27 But (O)You are the same,
And Your years will have no end.
28 (P)The children of Your servants will continue,
And their descendants will be established before You.”
