28 I will maintain my love to him forever,
    and my covenant with him will never fail.(A)
29 I will establish his line forever,
    his throne as long as the heavens endure.(B)

30 “If his sons forsake my law
    and do not follow my statutes,
31 if they violate my decrees
    and fail to keep my commands,
32 I will punish their sin with the rod,
    their iniquity with flogging;(C)
33 but I will not take my love from him,(D)
    nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.
34 I will not violate my covenant
    or alter what my lips have uttered.(E)
35 Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness—
    and I will not lie to David—
36 that his line will continue forever
    and his throne endure before me like the sun;(F)
37 it will be established forever like the moon,
    the faithful witness in the sky.”(G)

You made a name(R) for yourself,(S) which remains to this day. 11 You divided the sea before them,(T) so that they passed through it on dry ground, but you hurled their pursuers into the depths,(U) like a stone into mighty waters.(V) 12 By day(W) you led(X) them with a pillar of cloud,(Y) and by night with a pillar of fire to give them light on the way they were to take.

13 “You came down on Mount Sinai;(Z) you spoke(AA) to them from heaven.(AB) You gave them regulations and laws that are just(AC) and right, and decrees and commands that are good.(AD) 14 You made known to them your holy Sabbath(AE) and gave them commands, decrees and laws through your servant Moses. 15 In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven(AF) and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock;(AG) you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand(AH) to give them.(AI)
