Morning Prayer of Trust in God.

A Psalm of David, when ^[a]he fled from his son Absalom.

3 Lord, how ^(A)my enemies have increased!
Many are rising up against me.
²Many are saying of my soul,
“There is no ^(B)salvation for him in God.” Selah

³But You, Lord, are ^(C)a shield around me,
My ^(D)glory, and the One who ^(E)lifts my head.
⁴I was crying out to the Lord with my voice,
And He ^(F)answered me from ^(G)His holy ^[b]mountain. Selah
⁵^[c]I ^(H)lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the Lord sustains me.
⁶I will ^(I)not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have ^(J)set themselves against me all around.

⁷^(K)Arise, Lord; ^(L)save me, my God!
For You ^[d]have ^(M)struck all my enemies on the ^[e]cheek;
You ^[f]have ^(N)shattered the teeth of the wicked.
⁸^[g]^(O)Salvation belongs to the Lord;
May Your ^(P)blessing ^[h]be upon Your people! Selah

Praise to the Creator and Protector.

33 ^(A)Sing for joy in the Lord, you righteous ones;
Praise is ^(B)becoming to the upright.
²Give thanks to the Lord with the ^(C)lyre;
Sing praises to Him with a ^(D)harp of ten strings.
³Sing to Him a ^(E)new song;
Play skillfully with ^(F)a shout of joy.
⁴For the word of the Lord ^(G)is right,
And all His work is done ^(H)in faithfulness.
⁵He ^(I)loves righteousness and justice;
The ^(J)earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

⁶By the ^(K)word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And ^(L)by the breath of His mouth ^(M)all their ^[a]lights.
⁷He gathers the ^(N)waters of the sea together ^[b]as a heap;
He puts the depths in storehouses.
⁸Let ^(O)all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world ^(P)stand in awe of Him.
⁹For ^(Q)He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it ^[c]stood firm.
¹⁰The Lord ^(R)nullifies the plan of nations;
He frustrates the plans of peoples.
¹¹The ^(S)plan of the Lord stands forever,
The ^(T)plans of His heart from generation to generation.
¹²Blessed is the ^(U)nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has ^(V)chosen for His own inheritance.

¹³The Lord ^(W)looks from heaven;
He ^(X)sees all the sons of mankind;
¹⁴From ^(Y)His dwelling place He looks out
On all the inhabitants of the earth,
¹⁵He who ^(Z)fashions ^[d]the hearts of them all,
He who ^(AA)understands all their works.
¹⁶^(AB)The king is not saved by a mighty army;
A warrior is not rescued by great strength.
¹⁷A ^(AC)horse is a false hope for victory;
Nor does it rescue anyone by its great strength.

¹⁸Behold, ^(AD)the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who ^(AE)wait for His faithfulness,
¹⁹To ^(AF)rescue their soul from death
And to keep them alive ^(AG)in famine.
²⁰Our soul ^(AH)waits for the Lord;
He is our ^(AI)help and our shield.
²¹For our ^(AJ)heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.
²²Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us,
Just as we have waited for You.

63 God, ^(A)You are my God; I shall be watching for You;
My soul ^(B)thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a ^(C)dry and exhausted land where there is no water.
²So have I ^(D)seen You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and glory.
³Because Your ^[b]^(E)favor is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
⁴So I will bless You ^(F)as long as I live;
I will ^(G)lift up my hands in Your name.
⁵My soul is ^(H)satisfied as with fat and fatness,
And my mouth offers ^(I)praises with joyful lips.

⁶When I remember You ^(J)on my bed,
I meditate on You in the ^(K)night watches,
⁷For ^(L)You have been my help,
And in the ^(M)shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
⁸My soul ^(N)clings ^[c]to You;
Your ^(O)right hand takes hold of me.

⁹But those who ^(P)seek my ^[d]life to destroy it,
Will go into the ^[e]^(Q)depths of the earth.
¹⁰^[f]They will be ^[g]^(R)turned over to the power of the sword;
They will be a ^[h]^(S)prey for foxes.
¹¹But the ^(T)king will rejoice in God;
Everyone who ^(U)swears by Him will boast,
For the ^(V)mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.

The Majesty of the Lord.

93 ^(A)The Lord ^[a]reigns, He is ^(B)clothed with majesty;
The Lord has ^(C)clothed and encircled Himself with strength.
Indeed, the ^(D)world is firmly established; it will not be moved.
²Your ^(E)throne is established from of old;
You ^(F)are from eternity.

³The ^(G)floods have lifted up, Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice,
The floods lift up their pounding waves.
⁴More than the sounds of many waters,
Than the mighty breakers of the sea,
The Lord ^(H)on high is mighty.
⁵Your ^(I)testimonies are fully confirmed;
^(J)Holiness is pleasing to Your house,

²⁴When you ^(AO)lie down, you will not be afraid;
When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
²⁵^(AP)Do not be afraid of sudden danger,
Nor of ^(AQ)trouble from the wicked when it comes;
²⁶For the Lord will be ^[h]your confidence,
And will ^(AR)keep your foot from being caught.

²⁷^(AS)Do not withhold good from ^[i]those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it.
²⁸^(AT)Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it to you,”
When you have it with you.
²⁹^(AU)Do not devise harm against your neighbor,
While he lives securely beside you.
³⁰^(AV)Do not contend with a person for no reason,
If he has done you no harm.
³¹^(AW)Do not envy a violent person,
And do not choose any of his ways.
³²For the ^(AX)devious are an abomination to the Lord;
But ^[j]He is ^(AY)intimate with the upright.
³³The ^(AZ)curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked,
But He ^(BA)blesses the home of the righteous.
³⁴Though ^(BB)He scoffs at the scoffers,
Yet ^(BC)He gives grace to the needy.
³⁵^(BD)The wise will inherit honor,
But fools ^[k]increase dishonor.
