Psalm 130-131
New King James Version
Waiting for the Redemption of the Lord
A Song of Ascents.
130 Out (A)of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;
2 Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications.
3 (B)If You, Lord, should [a]mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could (C)stand?
4 But there is (D)forgiveness with You,
That (E)You may be feared.
5 (F)I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And (G)in His word I do hope.
6 (H)My soul waits for the Lord
More than those who watch for the morning—
Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.
7 (I)O Israel, hope in the Lord;
For (J)with the Lord there is mercy,
And with Him is abundant redemption.
8 And (K)He shall redeem Israel
From all his iniquities.
Simple Trust in the Lord
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
131 Lord, my heart is not [b]haughty,
Nor my eyes [c]lofty.
(L)Neither do I [d]concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too [e]profound for me.
2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
(M)Like a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 (N)O Israel, hope in the Lord
From this time forth and forever.
