Behold, I was (A)brought forth in guilt,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
Behold, You desire (B)truth in the [a]innermost being,
And in secret You will (C)make wisdom known to me.
[b]Purify me (D)with hyssop, and I will be clean;
[c]Cleanse me, and I will be (E)whiter than snow.
[d]Let me hear (F)joy and gladness,
Let the (G)bones You have broken rejoice.
(H)Hide Your face from my sins
And wipe out all my guilty deeds.

10 (I)Create [e]in me a (J)clean heart, God,
And renew a (K)steadfast spirit within me.
