Psalm 51:5-10

⁵Behold, I was ^(A)brought forth in guilt,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
⁶Behold, You desire ^(B)truth in the ^[a]innermost being,
And in secret You will ^(C)make wisdom known to me.
⁷^[b]Purify me ^(D)with hyssop, and I will be clean;
^[c]Cleanse me, and I will be ^(E)whiter than snow.
⁸^[d]Let me hear ^(F)joy and gladness,
Let the ^(G)bones You have broken rejoice.
⁹^(H)Hide Your face from my sins
And wipe out all my guilty deeds.

¹⁰^(I)Create ^[e]in me a ^(J)clean heart, God,
And renew a ^(K)steadfast spirit within me.

⁶Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;

    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.^(G)
