5 The (A)cords of [a]Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me.
6 In my (B)distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried to my God for help;
He heard my voice (C)out of His temple,
And my (D)cry for help before Him came into His ears.

7 Then the (E)earth shook and quaked;
And the (F)foundations of the mountains were trembling
And were shaken, because He was angry.
