2 I will praise the Lord (A)while I live;
I will (B)sing praises to my God while I [a]have my being.
3 (C)Do not trust in noblemen,
In [b]mortal (D)man, in whom there is (E)no salvation.
4 His (F)spirit departs, he (G)returns to [c]the earth;
On that very day his (H)plans perish.
