3 Help me, Lord, to keep my mouth shut and my lips sealed. 4 Take away my lust for evil things; don’t let me want to be with sinners, doing what they do, sharing their delicacies.

2 May my prayer be set before you like incense;(A)
    may the lifting up of my hands(B) be like the evening sacrifice.(C)

3 Set a guard over my mouth,(D) Lord;
    keep watch over the door of my lips.(E)
4 Do not let my heart(F) be drawn to what is evil
    so that I take part in wicked deeds(G)
along with those who are evildoers;
    do not let me eat their delicacies.(H)
