4 The voice of the Lord is (F)powerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks (G)the cedars of Lebanon in pieces.
6 He makes Lebanon (H)skip like a calf,
And (I)Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord divides [d]flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord [e]shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of (J)Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord makes (K)the deer give birth
And strips the forests bare;
And (L)in His temple everything says, “Glory!”
10 The Lord sat as King at the (M)flood;
Yes, the Lord sits as (N)King forever.
11 [f]The Lord will give (O)strength to His people;
[g]The Lord will bless His people with (P)peace.
Thanksgiving for Rescue from Death.
A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David.
30 I will (Q)exalt You, Lord, for You have (R)lifted me up,
And have not let my (S)enemies rejoice over me.
2 Lord my God,
I (T)cried to You for help, and You (U)healed me.
3 Lord, You have (V)brought up my soul from [h]Sheol;
You have kept me alive, [i]that I would not (W)go down to the pit.
4 (X)Sing praise to the Lord, you (Y)His godly ones,
And (Z)praise the mention of His holiness.
5 For (AA)His anger is but for a moment,
His (AB)favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may (AC)last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
6 Now as for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I will (AD)never be moved.”
7 Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong;
You (AE)hid Your face, I was dismayed.
8 To You, Lord, I called,
And to the Lord I pleaded for compassion:
9 “What gain is there in my blood, if I (AF)go down to the pit?
Will the (AG)dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
10 “(AH)Hear, Lord, and be gracious to me;
Lord, be my (AI)helper.”
11 You have turned (AJ)my mourning into dancing for me;
You have (AK)untied my sackcloth and encircled me with (AL)joy,
12 That my [j](AM)soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
Lord my God, I will (AN)give thanks to You forever.
