27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner (A)worthy of the (B)gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear about you that you are (C)standing firm in (D)one spirit, with one [a]mind (E)striving together for the faith of the gospel; 28 and in no way alarmed by your opponents—which is a (F)sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and this too, from God.

Life Worthy of the Gospel
27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy(A) of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm(B) in the one Spirit,[a] striving together(C) as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.
