Psalm 147:8-17

New International Version

⁸ He covers the sky with clouds;^(A)
    he supplies the earth with rain^(B)
    and makes grass grow^(C) on the hills.
⁹ He provides food^(D) for the cattle
    and for the young ravens^(E) when they call.

¹⁰ His pleasure is not in the strength^(F) of the horse,^(G)
    nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;
¹¹ the Lord delights^(H) in those who fear him,^(I)
    who put their hope^(J) in his unfailing love.^(K)

¹² Extol the Lord, Jerusalem;^(L)
    praise your God, Zion.

¹³ He strengthens the bars of your gates^(M)
    and blesses your people^(N) within you.
¹⁴ He grants peace^(O) to your borders
    and satisfies you^(P) with the finest of wheat.^(Q)

¹⁵ He sends his command^(R) to the earth;
    his word runs^(S) swiftly.
¹⁶ He spreads the snow^(T) like wool
    and scatters the frost^(U) like ashes.
¹⁷ He hurls down his hail^(V) like pebbles.
    Who can withstand his icy blast?
