^29 (A)your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness, all ^(B)your ^[a]numbered men according to your complete number from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against Me. ³⁰ By no means will you come into the land where I ^[b]swore to settle you, ^(C)except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

⁹ “So My hand will be against the ^(A)prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will ^[a]have no place in the council of My people, ^(B)nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, ^[b]so that you may know that I am the Lord God.

¹⁵ Also ^(A)I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all the lands, ¹⁶ because they rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they also profaned My Sabbaths, because their ^(B)heart continually followed their idols.

³ For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said,

although His works were finished ^(B)from the foundation of the world.
