Matthew 4:3-5
New Life Version
3 The devil came tempting Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to be made into bread.” 4 But Jesus said, “It is written, ‘Man is not to live on bread only. Man is to live by every word that God speaks.’” (A)
5 Then the devil took Jesus up to Jerusalem, the holy city. He had Jesus stand on the highest part of the house of God.

New International Version
3 The tempter(A) came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God,(B) tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[a]”(C)
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city(D) and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
