As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone(A) what you have seen, until the Son of Man(B) has been raised from the dead.”(C)

10 The disciples asked him, “Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?”

11 Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things.(D) 12 But I tell you, Elijah has already come,(E) and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished.(F) In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer(G) at their hands.”

And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
