7 And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.(A) 8 I baptize you with[a] water, but he will baptize you with[b] the Holy Spirit.”(B)

9 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth(E) in Galilee and was baptized by John(F) in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.(G) 11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son,(H) whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”(I)

8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
