Who Is the Greatest?^(A)

⁴⁶^(B)Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. ⁴⁷And Jesus, ^(C)perceiving the thought of their heart, took a ^(D)little child and set him by Him, ⁴⁸and said to them, ^(E)“Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and ^(F)whoever receives Me ^(G)receives Him who sent Me. ^(H)For he who is least among you all will be great.”

⁴⁶An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest.^(A) ⁴⁷Jesus, knowing their thoughts,^(B) took a little child and had him stand beside him. ⁴⁸Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.^(C) For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.”^(D)
