³⁶ Do not take interest^(A) or any profit from them, but fear your God,^(B) so that they may continue to live among you. ³⁷ You must not lend them money at interest^(C) or sell them food at a profit.

¹⁹ Do not charge a fellow Israelite interest, whether on money or food or anything else that may earn interest.^{(A) 20} You may charge a foreigner^(B) interest, but not a fellow Israelite, so that the Lord your God may bless^(C) you in everything you put your hand to in the land you are entering to possess.
