Penalties of Disobedience

¹⁴ ‘^(A)But if you do not obey Me and do not carry out all these commandments,

⁶ “^(A)But if you or your sons indeed turn away from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have placed before you, but you go and serve other gods and worship them,

²⁷ But ^(A)if you do not listen to Me, to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying a load and coming in through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then ^(B)I will set fire to its gates, and it will ^(C)devour the palaces of Jerusalem and ^(D)not go out.”’”

^5 (A)But if you will not obey these words, I ^(B)swear by Myself,” declares the Lord, “that this house will become a place of ruins.”’”
