⁴ the priest shall command them to take for him who is to be cleansed two live^[a] clean birds and ^(A)cedarwood and ^(B)scarlet yarn and ^(C)hyssop.

⁷ And he shall ^(A)sprinkle it ^(B)seven times on him who is to be cleansed of the leprous disease. Then he shall pronounce him clean and shall ^(C)let the living bird go ^(D)into the open field.

⁶ And the priest shall take ^(A)cedarwood and hyssop and scarlet yarn, and throw them into the fire burning the heifer.

¹⁷ For the unclean they shall take ^(A)some ashes of the burnt sin offering, and fresh^[a] water shall be added in a vessel.
