Let the Children Come to Me

^15 (A)Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they ^(B)rebuked them. ¹⁶ But Jesus called them to him, saying, ^(C)“Let the children come to me, and ^(D)do not hinder them, ^(E)for to such belongs the kingdom of God.

³⁸ And Peter said to them, ^(A)“Repent and ^(B)be baptized every one of you ^(C)in the name of Jesus Christ ^(D)for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ^(E)the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For ^(F)the promise is for you and ^(G)for your children and for all ^(H)who are far off, everyone ^(I)whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”

³ Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is ^(A)born ^(B)again^[a] he cannot ^(C)see the kingdom of God.”

⁵ Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born ^(A)of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

^12 (A)Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

⁹ You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact ^(A)the Spirit of God dwells in you. ^(B)Anyone who does not have ^(C)the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
