It was in the valley that belongs (C)to Beth Rehob. So they rebuilt the city and dwelt there. 29 And (D)they called the name of the city (E)Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel. However, the name of the city formerly was Laish.

27 Then they took what Micah had made, and his priest, and went on to Laish, against a people at peace and secure.(A) They attacked them with the sword and burned(B) down their city.(C) 28 There was no one to rescue them because they lived a long way from Sidon(D) and had no relationship with anyone else. The city was in a valley near Beth Rehob.(E)
The Danites rebuilt the city and settled there. 29 They named it Dan(F) after their ancestor Dan, who was born to Israel—though the city used to be called Laish.(G)
