John 3:30-36
New International Version
30 He must become greater; I must become less.”[a]
31 The one who comes from above(A) is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth.(B) The one who comes from heaven is above all. 32 He testifies to what he has seen and heard,(C) but no one accepts his testimony.(D) 33 Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. 34 For the one whom God has sent(E) speaks the words of God, for God[b] gives the Spirit(F) without limit. 35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.(G) 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,(H) but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
John 7:37-39
New International Version
37 On the last and greatest day of the festival,(A) Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.(B) 38 Whoever believes(C) in me, as Scripture has said,(D) rivers of living water(E) will flow from within them.”[a](F) 39 By this he meant the Spirit,(G) whom those who believed in him were later to receive.(H) Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.(I)
