16 So Jesus answered them and said, (A)My teaching is not My own, but His who sent Me. 17 (B)If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is of God, or I am speaking from Myself. 18 The one who speaks from himself (C)seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

19 (D)Did Moses not give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why are you (E)seeking to kill Me?”

It comes from the one who sent me.(A) 17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out(B) whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory,(C) but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. 19 Has not Moses given you the law?(D) Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”(E)
