12 While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name, (A)which You have given Me; and I guarded them, and (B)not one of them perished except (C)the [a]son of destruction, so that the (D)Scripture would be fulfilled.

13 But now (E)I am coming to You; and (F)these things I speak in the world so that they may have My (G)joy made full in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and (H)the world has hated them because (I)they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from [b](J)the evil one. 16 (K)They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 (L)Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. 18 Just as (M)You sent Me into the world, (N)I also sent them into the world.

13 “I am coming to you now,(D) but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy(E) within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them,(F) for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.(G) 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.(H) 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.(I) 17 Sanctify them by[b] the truth; your word is truth.(J) 18 As you sent me into the world,(K) I have sent them into the world.(L)
