² In ^(A)my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that ^(B)I go to prepare a place for you?^{[a] 3} And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you ^(C)to myself, that ^(D)where I am you may be also.

⁷ Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for ^(A)if I do not go away, ^(B)the Helper will not come to you. But ^(C)if ^(D)I go, ^(E)I will send him to you.
