Jesus, knowing (A)that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He (B)had come from God and (C)was going to God, (D)rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power,(A) and that he had come from God(B) and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.(C) After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet,(D) drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
