11 He came to his own creation,[a] yet his own people did not receive him. 12 However, to all who received him, those believing in his name, he gave authority to become God’s children, 13 who were born, not merely in a genetic sense,[b] nor from lust,[c] nor from man’s desire, but from the will of[d] God.

11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.(A) 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed(B) in his name,(C) he gave the right to become children of God(D)— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.(E)
