Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.”

³³But if not, then listen to me;^(A)
be silent,^(B) and I will teach you wisdom.^(C)”

¹²One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom,
but a man of understanding holds his peace.

¹²Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense,^(A)
but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.^(B)
