¹⁸ “Yet they are foam^(A) on the surface of the water;^(B)
    their portion of the land is cursed,^(C)
    so that no one goes to the vineyards.^(D)

²² those the Lord blesses will inherit the land,
    but those he curses^(A) will be destroyed.^(B)

³⁵ I have seen a wicked and ruthless man
    flourishing^(A) like a luxuriant native tree,
³⁶ but he soon passed away and was no more;
    though I looked for him, he could not be found.^(B)

⁹ May his children be fatherless
    and his wife a widow.^(A)
10 May his children be wandering beggars;^(B)
    may they be driven^[a] from their ruined homes.

³³ The Lord’s curse^(A) is on the house of the wicked,^(B)
    but he blesses the home of the righteous.^(C)
