⁹ Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘The Lord God says this: “Come from the four winds, breath, and ^(A)breathe on these slain, so that they ^(B)come to life.”’”

² Daniel ^[a]said, “I was ^(A)looking in my vision by night, and behold, the ^(B)four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea.

⁴ But as soon as he has arisen, his kingdom will be broken up and parceled out ^(A)toward the ^(B)four ^[a]points of the compass, though not to his own descendants, nor according to his authority which he wielded, because his sovereignty will be ^(C)removed and given to others besides ^[b]them.

³¹ And ^(A)He will send forth His angels with ^(B)a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His ^[a](C)elect from ^(D)the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

An Interlude

7 After this I saw ^(A)four angels standing at the ^(B)four corners of the earth, holding back ^(C)the four winds of the earth ^(D)so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.
