³⁹ The ^(A)measuring line will go out farther straight ahead, to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah.

³ So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of ^(A)bronze, with a ^(B)thread of flax and a ^(C)measuring ^[a]rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway.

³ When the man went out toward the east with a line in his hand, he measured a thousand ^[a]cubits, and he led me through the water, water reaching the ankles.
