⁹And the Lord said to me, ^(A)“A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

New International Version

⁹Then the Lord said to me, “There is a conspiracy^(A) among the people of Judah and those who live in Jerusalem.

⁹As bands of robbers lie in wait for a man,
So the company of ^(A)priests ^(B)murder on the way to Shechem;
Surely they commit ^(C)lewdness.

⁹As marauders lie in ambush for a victim,^(A)
so do bands of priests;
they murder^(B) on the road to Shechem,
carrying out their wicked schemes.^(C)
