For from days of old (A)they have not heard or perceived by ear,
Nor has the eye seen a God besides You,
Who acts in behalf of one who (B)waits for Him.
You (C)meet him who rejoices in (D)doing righteousness,
Who (E)remembers You in Your ways.
Behold, (F)You were angry, for we sinned,
We continued in [a]our sins for a long time;
Yet shall we be saved?
For all of us have become like one who is (G)unclean,
And all our (H)righteous deeds are like a filthy garment;
And all of us (I)wither like a leaf,
And our (J)wrongdoings, like the wind, take us away.
There is (K)no one who calls on Your name,
Who stirs himself to take hold of You;
For You have (L)hidden Your face from us
And have [b]surrendered us to the power of our wrongdoings.

But now, Lord, (M)You are our Father;
We are the (N)clay, and You our potter,
And all of us are the (O)work of Your hand.
Do not be (P)angry beyond measure, Lord,
(Q)Nor remember wrongdoing forever.
Behold, please look, all of us are (R)Your people.
