²⁴ Instead of fragrance^(A) there will be a stench;^(B)
    instead of a sash,^(C) a rope;
instead of well-dressed hair, baldness;^(D)
    instead of fine clothing, sackcloth;^(E)
    instead of beauty,^(F) branding.^(G)

² Dibon^(A) goes up to its temple,
    to its high places^(B) to weep;
    Moab wails^(C) over Nebo^(D) and Medeba.
Every head is shaved^(E)
    and every beard cut off.^(F)

¹² The Lord, the Lord Almighty,
    called you on that day^(A)
to weep^(B) and to wail,
    to tear out your hair^(C) and put on sackcloth.^(D)

³¹ They will shave their heads^(A) because of you
    and will put on sackcloth.
They will weep^(B) over you with anguish of soul
    and with bitter mourning.^(C)
