⁸ Also the ^(A)high places of ^[a]Aven, ^(B)the sin of Israel,
Shall be destroyed.
The thorn and thistle shall grow on their altars;
^(C)They shall say to the mountains, “Cover us!”
And to the hills, “Fall on us!”
