Hebrews 11:39-12:4

³⁹ And all these, ^(A)though commended through their faith, ^(B)did not receive what was promised, ⁴⁰ since God had provided something better for us, ^(C)that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

Jesus, Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and ^(D)sin which clings so closely, and ^(E)let us run ^(F)with endurance the race that is ^(G)set before us, ² looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, ^(H)who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising ^(I)the shame, and ^(J)is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Do Not Grow Weary

^3 (K)Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or ^(L)fainthearted. ⁴ In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
