Marriage should be honored by all,(A) and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.(B) Keep your lives free from the love of money(C) and be content with what you have,(D) because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.”[a](E)

So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?”[b](F)

Remember your leaders,(G) who spoke the word of God(H) to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate(I) their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.(J)

Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings.(K) It is good for our hearts to be strengthened(L) by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods,(M) which is of no benefit to those who do so.(N)

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
