¹² Take double the money with you. Carry back with you the money ^(A)that was returned in the mouth of your sacks. Perhaps it was an oversight. ¹³ Take also your brother, and arise, go again to the man. ¹⁴ May ^(B)God Almighty^{[a] (C)}grant you mercy before the man, and may he send back your other brother and Benjamin. And as for me, ^(D)if I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.”

²⁰ Then Jacob ^(A)made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear,

²⁸ Let the thief no longer steal, but rather ^(A)let him labor, ^(B)doing honest work with his own hands, so ^(C)that he may have something to share with anyone in need.

¹¹ For we hear that some among you ^(A)walk in idleness, not busy at work, but ^(B)busybodies. ¹² Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.^[a]

^6 (A)do not be anxious about anything, ^(B)but in everything by prayer and supplication ^(C)with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
