²⁶ Then God said, ^(A)“Let us make man^[a] in our image, ^(B)after our likeness. And ^(C)let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

¹⁴ For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, ^(A)by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. ¹⁵ They show that the work of the law is ^(B)written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them

The Message of Salvation to All

⁵ For ^(A)Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that ^(B)the person who does the commandments shall live by them.

¹⁷ but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil ^(A)you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat^[a] of it you ^(B)shall surely die.”
