40 (A) I'm putting you in charge of my palace, and everybody will have to obey you. No one will be over you except me. 41 You are now governor of all Egypt!”
42 (B) Then the king took off his royal ring and put it on Joseph's finger. He gave him fine clothes to wear and placed a gold chain around his neck.

40 You shall be in charge of my palace,(A) and all my people are to submit to your orders.(B) Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.(C)”
Joseph in Charge of Egypt
41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.”(D) 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring(E) from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes(F) of fine linen(G) and put a gold chain around his neck.(H)
