3 (A)But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, “Behold, (B)you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is [a]married.” 4 Now Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, “Lord, (C)will You kill a nation, even though [b]blameless? 5 Did he himself not say to me, ‘She is my sister’? And she (D)herself said, ‘He is my brother.’ In (E)the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my [c]hands I have done this.”

New International Version
3 But God came to Abimelek(A) in a dream(B) one night and said to him, “You are as good as dead(C) because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.”(D)
4 Now Abimelek had not gone near her, so he said, “Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?(E) 5 Did he not say to me, ‘She is my sister,(F)’ and didn’t she also say, ‘He is my brother’? I have done this with a clear conscience(G) and clean hands.(H)”
