Genesis 2:22-24

22 The Lord God built a woman from the rib that he had taken from the man and brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
Now this one is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh.
She will be called “woman,”
because she was taken out of man.[a]
24 For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother
and will remain united with his wife,
and they will become one flesh.[b]

- Genesis 2:23 Here the Hebrew word for man is ish not adam. Like the English word pair man/woman, the Hebrew words ish/ishah correspond to one another.
- Genesis 2:24 Verse 24 may be a continuation of the words of Adam or a comment of the inspired writer. In either case, Jesus recognizes them as part of the divine institution of marriage (Matthew 19:4-5).

New International Version
22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[a](A) he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;(B)
she shall be called(C) ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.(D)”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united(E) to his wife, and they become one flesh.(F)
